The weather in Thailand is generally hot and humid across the country throughout the year. Its climate is controlled by two tropical monsoons of southwest (from May to October) and northeast (from November to May). For mainland of Thailand, there are three seasons, which are dry season from November to May, hot season from April to May and raining season from June to October.
The southern coastal Thailand has only two season raining and dry season. Between them, there is also different raining season from the west to the east coast, which allows tourists to find a sunny beach all year round. Heavy storms come to west coast, where Phuket, Krabi, and the Phi Phi Islands lie, from April to October, while on the Gulf of Thailand or east coast, where Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, and Koh Tao lie, the most rain falls between September and December.
