Private Day Tours in Bandar Seri Begawan

Choose a private day tour to BSB, the capital of one of the last independent sultanates in the world. Avoid crowded travel group, take the best of the Brunei’s iconic landmarks, from the opulence of gold-domed mosques and palaces, to the rich cultural heritage of the world’s largest settlement entirely on water, with the knowledgeable perspective and stories from your private local tour guide. The sultanate of Brunei is located on the large island of Borneo, which it shares with parts of Malaysia and Indonesia. It’s a small nation, with only around 417,000 residents and one city – Bandar Seri Begawan (usually referred to as ‘Bandar’) – but a visit here is a unique experience, and one that’s easily combined with tours of either of its neighboring countries. Brunei is an incredibly rich country, thanks to its enormous oil fields, and this wealth is certainly visible in Bandar. It’s a well-ordered place, with an emphasis on good food and determined shopping. If you want to indulge in a little retail therapy yourself, head to the simply-named The Mall, or for some more unique wares check out the Arts and Handicraft Center. Bandar is filled with ornate Muslim architecture; some of the most beautiful you’ll find in Southeast Asia. The gem in Brunei’s crown is almost certainly the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque, which sits along the banks of the river and reflects serenely off the water. While you’re near the river, be sure to take a water taxi to check out Kampong Ayer. This village consists of hundreds of buildings which located peacefully along the water. The final must-see on your trip to Bandar is the Tasek Lama Recreational Park, which is only a short walk from the city center. You can easily pass an enjoyable day here, exploring the paths and soaking in the pleasant waterfall.
