Hanoi - Hoa Lu - Ha Long - Vientiane - Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Cave - Khouangsi Waterfall

Itinerary

Day1:

Hanoi

Upon your arrival at the Hanoi International Airport, our driver will meet you with BAT (short for Bravo Asia Tours) welcoming Board and then escort you to your hotel. We leave the rest of the day to you to relax and recover from Jet lag. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day2:

Hanoi

Take a Morning tour to visit Ho Chi Minh complex with first stop at Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum – a large memorial to the national hero - President Ho Chi Minh.Then take a short walk trip to the Presidential Palace & House on Stilt. Near from Ho Chi Minh complex, One Pillar Pagoda–symbol of Vietnam with unique architecture of lotus flower is a must-see destination for all Vietnam tours.Our next stop will be the Temple of Literature which is the first university in Vietnam.After lunch time, we continue our Hanoi city tour to the Museum of Ethnology.then, we willtravelto Quan Thanh Temple & Tran Quoc Pagoda located near beautiful Westlake.End the day with a short cycle ride around the old streets observing daily life of Hanoian, take exotic photos of Hanoi traffic and enjoy a fantastic water puppet show.Overnight in Hanoi.

Day3:

Hanoi - Hoa Lu

Travel through rural northern Vietnam to the site of Vietnam's first capital, HOA LU. Visit to the temples dedicated to Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh Dynasty and The ancient Hoa Lu Citadel (most of which has since been destroyed) once covered an area of three square kilometers. Continue yout tour to TAM COC through stunning limestone karst valleys surrounded by picturesque fields and villages, along the way stop where you wish to take photographs. On arrival in TAM COC have a Vietnamese lunch. After lunch, board your private sampan for a leisurely 2.5-hour cruise. After the boat trip, take a leisure walk through rice fields to visit picturesque Thai Vi temple or drive to Bich Dong Pagoda on nearby Ngu Nhac Mountain, dating to 1428 and comprising three structures: Ha, Trung, and Thuong Pagodas, in ascending order before returning to Hanoi for overnight. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day4:

Hanoi - Ha Long

Have a one-day cruise tour to Ha Long Bay to enjoy the stunning scenery with thousands of limestone mountains. Passing the most beautiful and quiet areas including Incense Burner, Dog Stone Islet, Fighting Cock, Finger Islet. After that, we take passengers to have a visit the Thien Cung Cave. Overnight on Board.

Day5:

Ha Long - Hanoi

Start your 2nd Ha Long Bay cruise tour with Tai Chi on the sundeck in the morning. then continue to climb Titov Island, After the climb, there is time left to relax on the beach and have a swim. Transfer back to Hanoi airport for a late afternoon flight to Vientiane. Overnight in Vientiane.

Day6:

Hanoi - Vientiane

After breakfast, we start our tour to visit Wat Sisaket, the city's oldest temple. Dates back to 1818, Wat Sisaket is the most important heritage temple now standing in Laos. It houses thousands of Buddha images from many countries, long lost architectural styles, sculptures and paintings; Wat Prakeo, former royal temple of the Lao monarchy and originally built in 1565, is home to the Emerald Buddha image, Buddhist sculptures are displayed along the perimeter wall, including a 6th to 9th century Dvaravati-style stone Buddha and several standing and sitting Buddhas. On the way to the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, Vientiane's own Arc de Triumph. In the afternoon, we take a short drive out of the city to visit the Buddha Park where hundreds of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures brought from India are displayed. Return to the city and enjoy the sunset on the Mekong River. Overnight in Vientiane.

Day7:

Vientiane - Luang Prabang

Transfer to the airport for a short flight to Luang Prabang. After a rest, we enjoy a short-guided tour visit the National Museum at the former Royal Palace displays a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture; we will visit Wat Visoun, the holiest temple of the city. In the courtyard of Wat Visoun stands the Watermelon Stupa shaped like the fruit from which it takes its name. Continue past Wat Aham, which was first built in the 1500s.Late afternoon, we will climb up 328 steps of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. We then will explore the Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of handmade textiles made by the hill tribe and local people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day8:

Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Cave

You have the option to wake up before dawn to witness and participate in offering alms to hundreds of saffron-robed monks.We then visit the Morning Market.After breakfast, we visit the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground. We then board a cruise trip upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a panoramic view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. Along the way, we will make a stop at Ban Xang Hai village where rice wine is distilled. We will visit the caves of Tham Ting and Tham Phoum which house hundreds of Buddha statues. Have lunch at local restaurant. We return to Luang Prabang in the afternoon, Continue you tour to visit Ban Xang Khong, a village well known for silk hand-weaving and traditional Saa paper-making.Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day9:

Luang Prabang - Khouangsi Waterfall - Luang Prabang

Breakfast at hotel, We visit the Phousi Market, and then drive our way to Khouang Si waterfall. On the way, you can visit to the Lao ethnic minority groups-Ban Ouay Village, Ban Ou village and Ban Thapene Village. Once at the waterfalls, take a leisurely hike through the national park towards the Khouang Si waterfalls and pass by the Asian bear rescue center. You will enjoy feeling the mist of the cool, turquoise waters of the different waterfalls. Swimming in the refreshing waters is possible. Have lunch at local restaurant. We will be back to Luang Prabang and free at leisure until the time transfer to the airport for departure flight.
