Itinerary

Day1:

Kathmandu - Nagarkot

Be greeted by your tour guide of Bravo Asia Tours at Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu. We will drive to Nagarkot(approximately 1hour), a village located 32 km east of Kathmandu on the valley rim. This small village provides a grandstand panoramic view of the Himalayas. You can see five of the world’s 10 tallest mountains – Everest 8848, Lhotse 8516, Makalu 8463 and Manaslu 8163. If time permit, we will have a tour to Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanth Stupa. Overnight in Nagarkot.

Day2:

Kathmandu - Chitwan National Park

We are going to drive to Chitwan (approximately 5hours). Get up early in the morning and we depart at around 7:00AM. You may have a nap during our driving. Upon arrival at Chitwan, check in of your hotel and get ready for lunch. Our activities in Royal Chitwan National Park in the afternoon including: elephant safari, jungle walk and boat ride. Day3:

Chitwan National Park

You activities today are set. So an early morning start on 5:30AM. Today’s activities include bird watching, elephant safari, jungle walk, crocodile observation trip by boat and visiting observation tower. Overnight in Chitwan

Day4:

Chitwan National Park - Pokhara

Check out and leave Chitwan for Pokhara (driving approximately 3.5 hours). Arrive at Pokhara and check in to your hotel. You are at leisure the rest of the day. Pokhara is part of a once vibrant trade route extending between India and Tibet. To this day, mule trains can be seen camped on the outskirts of the town, bring goods to trade from remote regions of the Himalaya. This is the land of the Magars and Gurungs, hard working farmers and valorous warriors who have earned worldwide fame as Gurkha soldiers. The serenity of Phewa Lake and the magnificence of the fish-tailed summit of Machhapuchhre (6977m) rising behind it have to be experienced to be understood. At an elevation lower than Kathmandu, it has a much more tropical feel to it, a fact appreciated by the diversity of beautiful flowers which prosper in the valley. The valley surrounding Pokhara is home to thick forest, gushing rivers, emerald lakes and of course, the world famous views of the Himalaya. Overnight in Pokhara

Day5:

Pokhara

Explore the old trading town of Pokhara where decorated pony trains from the Kali Gandaki trade routes jostle with men from the mountains, as they barter in the bazaar. Visit the Bindhyavasini Temple and the fascinating Butterfly Museum located in the grounds of the university. After lunch, we will enjoy a boat trip on Phewa Lake passing three-story villa where the King of Nepal maintains his winter home. Stop at the small golden temple to the Hindu god Varahi which is nestled in foliage on an island in the centre of the lake. You will see many fisherman and other pilgrims take their long canoes (carved from tree trunks) to the island to visit the shrine. Overnight in Pokhara

Day6:

Pokhara - Kathmandu

You are at leisure in the morning until transfer to airport for flight to Kathmandu. Meet your tour guide at Kathmandu airport then transfer to hotel for check in. The rest time of today is free. Overnight in Kathmandu

Day7:

Kathmandu

Today we will have a Kathmandu city tour, visit Kumari the Living Goddess, Kathamandap, the Big Bell and Kal Bharab. Then visit the Swayambhunath temple, Kathmandu’s oldest and best known religious monument. With a history that goes back at least 1500 years for the location, this ancient stupa is world renown and is visible from miles from all over the Kathmandu Valley. After lunch, we will take a tour to Patan City, one of the three queen cities of the valley. Patan is the city of fine arts, and we visit Durbar Square Krishna Mandir, and Mahavihar, the Goden Temple of Lord Buddha, built in the 12th century. Also visit the Tibetan centre. Day8:

Kathmandu - Paro - Thimphu

Board on vehicle and drive to airport of Kathmandu, from where, you will catch your flight onward to Paro. Tashi Delek! Welcome to Bhutan, the country with the happiest people in the world. Meet tour guide at Paro Airport then transfer to Thimphu – the capital town of Bhutan, en route to Chuzom, the confluence of Thimphu and Paro rivers. Check in of your hotel in Thimphu then you are free to explore. Overnight in Thimphu

Day9:

Thimphu

After a leisurely breakfast, we will visit handmade paper mill, School of Arts and Crafts (closed on Sundays). Students learn 13 different main stream arts in Bhutan and polish their skills in this school. Then head to National Library and Simply Bhutan Museum. After that, we will drive pass by memorial chorten built memory of the 3rd King to the oldest temple in the valley – Changangkha Lhakhang. Our tour today will be concluded at Zilukha Nunnery. Overnight in Thimphu

Day10:

Thimphu - Punakha - Paro

Today, we will have an excursion tour to Punakha, Wangdu and Dochu La Pass. After that, we will move to Paro. Punakha was the capital of Bhutan till 1955. Dochu La Pass is a popular destination among tourists because of its 360 degree panoramic view of Himalayan range. Overnight in Paro

Day11:

Paro

After a leisurely breakfast, we will visit Ta Dzong, originally built as Watchtower, which now houses National Museum. The extensive collection includes qntique thangkha, textiles, weapons, household objects and sorts of artifacts. Then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, which means Fortress of the heap of jewels. Along the wooden galleries lining the inner courtyard are fine wall paintings. Overnight in Paro

Day12:

Paro

After breakfast, we will visit Taktshang Monastery by walk for approximately 2 hours; comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended (for those who cannot hike we will arrange a horse for transfer up to cafeteria). This monastery is one of the most famous Bhutan’s monasteries, perched on the side of a cliff 900 m above the Paro Valley floor. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery and hence it is also called “Tiger’s Nest”. Afternoon drive to Drukgyel Dzong, a ruined fortress where Bhutanese warriors fought against Tibetan invaders centuries ago. The snow dome of sacred Chomolhari, “Mountain of goddess” can be seen in all her glory from the approach road to the Dzong. On the way, visit the 7th century Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the 108 temples built in the Himalayas by Tibetan King, Songtsen Gampo. The building of this temple marks the introduction of Buddhism in Bhutan. Overnight in Paro

Day13:

Paro - Bangkok

Today, we will say goodbye to Bhutan and head to Thailand. After a leisurely breakfast, you will be escorted to Paro Airport then board on your flight to Bangkok, Thailand. Sawadi! Welcome to Thailand, the land of smile. Be greeted at Suvarnabhumi International Airport then transferred to your hotel at Bangkok. The rest time of the day is at your leisure. Overnight in Bangkok

Day14:

Bangkok

Today, we will say goodbye to Bhutan and head to Thailand. After a leisurely breakfast, you will be escorted to Paro Airport then board on your flight to Bangkok, Thailand. Sawadi! Day15:

Bangkok

Our tour today will be early this morning. Meet your guide in the hotel's lobby at around 8:00AM. Depart from the hotel to Pak Khlong Ta-lad (closed on Sundays). Visit the flower market to see variety of flower, fruits Vegetables, especially the way of life in market. Take tuk-tuk to China Town at old market to see how the life of Chinese trader and Chinese food ingredient is. Enjoy a Chinese lunch at China Town. In the early afternoon, we will visit The Grand Palace & wat Phra Keio. Visit the first at Wat Phra Keio, the temple for king only, where there is no monk live today. It is amazing to see the beautiful decoration of Gloden Stupa, The Library and The Emerald Buddha Image. Overnight in Bangkok

Day16:

Bangkok - Koh Samui

After a leisurely breakfast, check out of hotel in Bangkok, you will head to Koh Samui for the rest days of this vacation. Meet your chauffeur at Samui then transfer to your hotel in Koh Samui. Overnight in Samui

Koh Samui - Koh Phangan

Optional excursion: Koh Samui to Koh Phangan one-day traditional Burmese junk boat trip. (available on Tuesdays and Thursdays). Take you on an adventure to discover the beautiful landscape around Koh Phangan, the neighbouring island of Koh Samui. You can explore the colorful underwater world of Koh Ma with its stunningly clear water, corals filled seabed abundant sea anemones, and all varieties of tropical fish.
