Itinerary

Day1:

Chiang Mai

We will pick you up at the airport or hotel of Chiang Mai and then drive you to the village Mae Sapok and the Lodge "White House", the accommodations are located directly opposite. In the morning if you arrived early, we drive after a short briefing at the lodge to the elephant camp. Elephants and mahouts will be met by you.

Day2:

Chiang Mai

An introduction to the behavior and lifestyle of elephants will be sent to you. Accompanied by your private German speaking tour guide, you will learn the first basic knowledge of elephant management. In addition to the bathing and washing of the animals you will learn the first commands and take them for a ride in the surrounding forests. You will visit a nearby Karen village, a Mountain Tribe of the north in the afternoon. You will learn about the anatomy of elephants in a video demonstration In the evening.

Day3:

Chiang Mai

The largest elephant conservation camp of Thailand located in Lampang will be visited. In addition to a unique talent show of its herd of elephants, a project is presented which has developed a method how to make paper from elephant dung. Later you visit a state and a private elephant hospital where professional care of sick animals is ensured through different treatment approaches. A visit to an exotic food market and the most important Buddhist temple of the region "Wat Haripunchai" will be taken in the afternoon.

Day4:

Chiang Mai

You will get the elephants out of the forest from their nightly feeding sites together with the mahouts. Also,you will get further insight into the basics of working with elephants. In addition to the fun bathing with the animals that includes riding on the neck of the elephant, of course under close guidance of your German speaking elephant trainer.Then,a visit to a royal agricultural project and a beautiful waterfall in Mae Sapok will be taken In the afternoon. You can participate in a video presentation about the different types of elephant keeping in Asia In the evening.

Day5:

Chiang Mai

Experience the spirituality of the 800 year old secluded monastery "Wat Luang", which also houses a spectacular Buddha statue. It was carved out of a huge log. You will have the opportunity to go on a guided bamboo-raft trip on the nearby Mae Wang River in the afternoon.

Day6:

Chiang Mai

Experience your last activities with your elephant at the camp. With the support of your elephant trainer you will learn how to stack logs with your elephant. Show your trainer and your Mahout what you have learned in the days with us working with elephants. Prove yourself with what talent you can direct your elephant.

Day7:

Chiang Mai

Our tour ends. We will take you back to the airport or your hotel in Chiang Mai.
