Most countries in Asia can be visited throughout the year. Taking all factors into account, such as weather, traffic, cost..., there are always good places worthy visiting whenever you travel Asia. According to your personal schedule, we will arrange the proper and suitable itinerary of your targeted countries.
Arrived at the Lanjia Lodge in the afternoon, after a welcoming drink, You will get an overview of various tribal peoples in Thailand from your Lanjia host, particularly the Hmong and the Lahu, who will be your hosts during your stay. Also, you will learn about the livelihoods of people living near the Mekong river and about the famous giant catfish (locally known as Pla Buek), which is the world’s largest freshwater fish, found in this area of the river. In the evening, you will partake of a sumptuous dinner with local delicacies, followed by a cultural show performed by Hmong and Lahu villagers and stay overnht at the Lanjia Lodge.
After finishing your breakfast in the morning, you will start the day with a tour through the nearby Hmong and Lahu village, called “Baan Kiew Karn”. You will also visit the shaman of the village who will be pleased to share with you his knowledge of Hmong culture. You will travel in a pick-up truck to the village of Baan Muang Karn later, where you will board a boat for a cruise down the Mekong River to the town of Chiang Khong.You can enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant next to the river. In the afternoon, you will visit Buddhist temples and the village of Ban Had Krai, where local fishermen will be eager to share their experiences about catching the famed giant catfish. The last stop of this day will be the temple of Phra That Jom Meng.
You will be driven to a small waterfall in this final day, where you have the opportunity to swim in a secluded pool in the middle of a tropical forest. Under the canopy of the lush green trees, a picnic lunch will be served. You will stop for a visit at an organic tea farm before heading back to the lodge in the evening.
