Bangkok - Kanchanaburi - Sankla Buri - Uthai Thani - Sukhothai - Phrae - Nan - Golden Triangle - Doi Mae Salong - Thaton - Chiang Dao - Mae Teng - Chiang Mai




Upon arrival at Bangkok International Airport in Thailand, be met and drive to your hotel for check-in. Overnight in Bangkok.


Bangkok - Kanchanaburi

In the morning we pick you up at your hotel in Bangkok. At first we travel in southwestern directions to ward Samut Songkram province, and will see the salt pans. After another 30 km to inland we reach the Floating Market of Damnoen Saduak, the only remaining active floating market in Thailand. In a rowboat, the local name is Samphan, we row you through the market-canal and it’s connecting canals for about one hour. From Damnoen Saduak to Kanchanaburi it is another 1 hour drive. Here you will see the so-called JEATH Museum, the War Cemetery and the famous Bridge on the River Kwai. Then take a train ride trip on the "Death Railway". In the late afternoon we reach the hotel in Kanchanaburi. Overnight in Kanchanaburi.


Kanchanaburi - Sankla Buri

After breakfast you will make a boat trip to the waterfall of Saiyoke Yai. There is the possibility to swim. Go on by car in western direction to the "Three-Pagoda-Pass" at the border between Myanmar and Thailand. The next itinerary is Sanklaburi, a small city strongly influenced by the Burmese where you will visit a temple in the traditional Burmese style. Overnight near Sanklaburi.


Sankla Buri - Kanchanaburi

After breakfast you will have another boat trip for about one hour to an elephant camp. Take a ride with the elephant through the jungle. Lunch will be served on the trip. Get back downstream with a bamboo raft.Go back to Kanchanaburi in the late afternoon. Overnight near Kanchanaburi.


Kanchanaburi - Uthai Thani

Travel from Kanchanaburi to Suphanburi, enjoy a short break at the Wang Macha temple. From Suphanburi then drive through the rice level on small streets to Uthai Thani. Have lunch in a small restaurant in the city. The temple Wat Thasung, also called – “the mirror temple” is one of the most beautiful temples in the area, but rarely visited by tourists. In the afternoon take a motor boat trip on the river Skaekrang. You will have the opportunity to observe the lives of the people on the river. In the late afternoon you will visit the market of Uthai Thani. Overnight in Uthai Thani.


Uthai Thani - Sukhothai

From Uthai Thani we will travel over Nakon Sawan to Phitsanoloke. At Wat Mahhatat you will see the famous Buddha image, which is a copy of the Marble temples image in Bangkok. Here Buddhists come together from across the country to honor this important statue let one of the many fortune tellers predict the future. After another 50 km more, we will arrive at Sukothai. Have Lunch on the way. Sukothai was the first capital of the Siamese Empire in the 13th/14th Century. On a rental bicycle you will visit the most important ancient temples in the midst of this great park, including the Wat Mahatat, Wat Sra Sri and Wat Si Sawai. Overnight in Sukothai.


Sukhothai - Phrae

Si Satchanalai, a former sister city of Sukothai, will be todays' first stop. Here you can see ancient temples and you will learn how the Sawankalok ceramics are produced. Then we travel to the north, through the mountains, In Phrae, a small provincial capital, we will take a look at the Wat Chom Sawan. Overnight in Phrae.


Phrae - Nan

In the morning you will have a short rickshaw tour to Wat Luang temple. Next stop, the Grand Canyon of Thailand, about 15 km north of Phrae is visited. Erosion has formed deep ravines, which are used for many Thai movies as background scenery. Approximately 30 km north of Phrae in Rong Kwang, the Huay Rong waterfall is located. We will drive with a pickup car from the waterfall to a Meo mountain village at Boh Hoy. Have lunch on the way. In the afternoon we will drive to Nan, one of the oldest cities in Thailand. Here we visit two of the most beautiful temples systems, Wat Phratat Haeng Chum and Wat Phumin, both about 500 to 600 years old. Overnight in Nan.


Nan - Golden Triangle

Today we will on a small road in northern direction over Phong, Thoen and Chiang Khong to the Golden Triangle. On the way you will see many beautiful landscapes, viewpoints and small villages. From Chiang Saen, you sit in a motorboat on the legendary Mekong River. Overnight near the Golden Triangle.


Golden Triangle - Doi Mae Salong - Thaton

The first stop will be in Mae Sai, the most northern city of Thailand and at the same time also a border town to Myanmar. At the market in Mae Sai numerous products from Myanmar and China are sold. We continue the journey to the Doi Maesalong massif, where various mountain villages with ethnic minorities are located. Today we still have various stops at mountain villages, among them, a village of the Akha and Lahu. Arrival in Thaton in the late afternoon. Overnight in Thaton.


Thaton - Chiang Dao - Mae Teng - Chiang Mai

After breakfast we drive towards Chiang Mai. In Chiang Dao we stop held at a cave, where locals sell various plants, herbs and roots as a cure for various diseases, in front of the cave entrance.Then the Mok Fah Waterfall in Mae Teng is visited. If there is enough water, you can take a dip here. At around 16 o`clock you will reach the city of Chiang Mai, and visit the mountain temple of Wat Doi Suthep, about 7 km outside the city. From here you can enjoy a great view over Chiang Mai and its surroundings, if the weather conditions are clear. Overnight in Chiang Mai.


Chiang Mai

On the last day of your Thailand tour will visit the main attractions of Chiang Mai – The Rose of the North. The Tapae Gate, a former city gate with the city walls, Wat Chan Man, Wat Chedi Luang and Worawot market in the old city will be the main attractions of today’s excursion. Afternoon at leisure, you can go shopping for gifts and souvenirs on the Night Bazaar for gifts, for example. Overnight in Chiang Mai.


Chiang Mai

Tour ends today, transfer to airport in Chiang Mai for departure flight.
