Bangkok - Bang Pa-in - Uthai Thani - Lopburi - Pak Chong - Khao Yai National Park

Itinerary

Day1:

Bangkok

Upon arrival at Bangkok International Airport in Thailand, be met and drive to your hotel for check-in. No tours are arranged today, we leave rest of the day for you to relax, recover from Jet lag. Overnight in Bangkok.

Day2:

Bangkok - Bang Pa-in - Bangkok

At about 11 am we transfer you from your hotel in Bangkok to the Mekhala pier at Wat Yannawa along the Chaophaya River. Your excursion tour starts as the boat casts off around 1 pm and heads up the Chao Phraya River, passing the magnificent Grand Palace and the Temple of Dawn. Along the way you’ll be able to observe the way of rural life along the river. Arriving at Pathum Thani in the afternoon, you will visit a fresh market where local people shop for food, fresh produce and a variety of Thai sweets. At sunset, the MEKHALA will dock at Wat Kai Tia, a Buddhist temple located in a tranquil rural village. An exquisite candlelit dinner of mouth-watering Thai delicacies will be served on the deck. You will spend the night on board the boat, in your air-conditioned cabin. Overnight in Bangkok.

Day3:

Bangkok - Uthai Thani

We start the tour by cruising to the small village of Baan Saladang.You will also see a collection of well-preserved typical Thai houses in this charming village.Later in the morning, you will disembark and travel to Bang-Pa-In Summer Palace.The mansions reflect Chinese, Swiss, Khmer, Thai and European styles of architecture.Ayutthaya was the last capital of Siam Kingdom.We will visit some of the most important remains of this formerly large and rich city, Wat Mahatat, Wat Si Sanpeth and Wat Yai Chai Mongkol.Continue the journey along the Chaophaya River in northern direction through the central plains until reaching Uthai Thani in the afternoon.We will visit the local market in the centre of Uthai Thani and will make a short boat trip along the Skaekrang River to see plenty of swimming houses along the river, build on bamboo piles and moored with the riverside.Overnight in Uthai Thani.

Day4:

Uthai Thani - Lopburi - Pak Chong

After breakfast we will cross the Chaophaya River for a last time and continue our tour in southeastern direction to Lopburi – the monkey town. Hundreds of monkeys characterize the image of Lopburi, most of them living in a former Hindu-shrine dating back to the 15th century. Further on in eastern direction we will have another break at a beautiful small waterfall, which is very famous among the local people. In the afternoon we arrive at our hotel for the next night. After check in we will leave the hotel for another highlight, about 10 km from the accommodation we will watch at about 5.30 pm as millions of bats are leaving their caves in a very clean line, to catch insects for their supper. Overnight in Pakchong.

Day5:

Pak Chong - Khao Yai National Park - Bangkok

After breakfast we check out from the hotel and leave for Khao Yai National Park, another 20 km drive. It takes about one hour to reach the high leveled area as there are many sharp curves. First we will visit the park Head Quarter and later our driver will take us to the beginning of the trail. Here we will go hiking through dry evergreen forest where Gibbons, Monkeys, Hornbills often seen. Then we will drive up to the Haew Suwat waterfall, famous from the movie “The Beach” have lunch nearby waterfall. In the afternoon we will drive up to the second highest mountain of the park to go and relax on a superb viewpoint. It will take about 2-3 hours to drive back to Bangkok, where we will send you to your next hotel. Overnight in Bangkok.
