Bangkok - Sai Yok - Kanchanaburi - Sukhothai - Chiang Mai - Chiang Rai - Golden Triangle - Vientiane - Vang Vieng - Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Cave - Khouangsi Waterfall




Upon arrival at Bangkok International Airport in Thailand, be met and drive to your hotel for check-in. We leave rest of the day for you to relax, recover from Jet lag. Overnight in Bangkok.


Bangkok - Sai Yok

Picked up at your hotel in Bangkok. Drive to the south, mostly along the coast passing Samut Songkram. Here you see huge salt pans areas. About 30 km further inland you reach the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market.With a rowing boat glide for about 1 hour through the main market canal and through the adjacent Klohngs. From Damnoen Saduak we drive back to Samut Songkram to the so called "Train Market".Then you continue to Kanchanaburi and visit the famous Bridge on the River Kwai. Overnight at a resort near Saiyoke, 50 km north of Kanchanaburi.


Sai Yok - Kanchanaburi

After breakfast check out of the resort and drive about 40 minutes to the Erawan National Park & Waterfall. Here you can either relax and swim or take a hike along the river up to the 7th level. (Hiking shoes are strongly advised.) Drive to Saiyoke and board the 12.40 train to Kanchanaburi. The interesting route on the so called "Death Railway" takes about 30 minutes. Continue to a resort near the town of Kanchanaburi for overnight.


Kanchanaburi - Sukhothai

Departure at 7:30 am, you drive pass Suphanburi to the rice plain and pass Kamphaeng Phet to arrive in Sukhothai the early afternoon. Sukothai was the first capital city of the former Kingdom of Siam in the 13.-14 century. Visit the main historical buildings such as Wat Mahatat, Wat Sra Sri and Wat Sri Sawai. Since this is such a huge park you can visit either by car or by bikes your guide will rent for you. Overnight stay at a hotel near the old part of Sukhothai.


Sukhothai - Chiang Mai

From Sukothai to Phitsanoloke it’s only about 50 km. Wat Mahatat in Phitsanoloke right on the banks of the Nan River is one of the most beautiful and important temples in central Thailand. Then drive through the mountains to Lampang. Near the city of Lampang stands the very typical northern Thailand style temple Wat Lampang Luang Phratat, largely built of teak. After another 20 km drive you reach Tungvien Market. The people of the surrounding mountains come here to sell among others all sorts of eatable exotic animals. Arrive in Chiang Mai in the late afternoon. Overnight stay at a Chiang Mai hotel.


Chiang Mai - Chiang Rai

Check out from the hotel and we drive you up the Doi Suthep Mountain to visit the famous mountain-temple Wat Doi Suthep. This temple is about 900 meters above sea level and during good weather you will have fantastic views to Chiang Mai and its surrounding area. Afterwards you drive from Chiang Mai through a very nice mountainous landscape to the north to Chiang Rai. Along the way you will stop at various points. Shortly before Chiang Rai a longer stop is made at the White Temple Wat Rongkhun. From Chiang Rai take a ride in a long tail boat along the Mekok River upstream for about one hour and enjoy the scenic landscape along the river. Return to Chiang Rai. Overnight stay at a Chiang Rai hotel.


Chiang Rai - Golden Triangle - Chiang Mai

After breakfast, drive to the old town of Chiang Saen, which was temporarily capital of the Lanna kingdom. The Golden Triangle at the Mekhong River, where Burma, Laos and Thailand meet, is worth a visit. Here can be made an optional boat trip on the Mekong River. Mae Sai, the border town between Burma and Thailand, is known for its smugglers market and for the numerous jade workshops. Return to Chiang Mai in the late afternoon. Overnight in Chiang Mai.


Chiang Mai

Today we are at the Ran-Tong Elephant Camp with a good reputation among locals and tourists for the contribution that gives for saving these incredible animals. People visit this park on a daily basis to interact, feed and bathing the elephants bringing to them peace and joy after a long suffering past. Return to Chiang Mai for overnight.


Chiang Mai - Vientiane

Transfer to the Airport and flight from Chiang Mai to Vientiane. Welcome to Vientiane. Upon arrival, our guide will meet you at the airport and then escort you to your hotel for check-in. Free at leisure at the rest of day on your own. Overnight in Vientiane.



After a break, Enjoy a city tour to Wat Sisaket, Visit Wat Simuang and Wat Prakeo.There are many excellent restaurants in Vientiane, and you will easily find something to suit your taste. Visit the huge golden That Luang monument. Visit Vientiane’s own Victory Monument, which looks like the Arc de Triumphe.After lunch, we start to visit the major sight out of town, visit Buddha Park, a blend of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures created by mystical monk on parkland located by the Mekong River and the impressive Lao- Thai Friendship Bridge. En route stop at Lao/Thai Bridge, taking photos before continue to the park. Overnight in Vientiane.


Vientiane - Vang Vieng

Today we head to Vang Vieng via the Nam Ngum Lake with hundreds of small islands. En route we’ll stop to visit Ban Bor, a village where natural salt is produced. We arrive in Vang Vieng, a small town, which is nestled on a bend of the Nam Song River. Its stunning scenery with a mixture of quiet river waters and limestone outcrops remains unspoiled, despite recent developments with the advent of tourism. In the mid afternoon, we will embark on a boat for a well-paced trip along the Nam Song River, exploring the breathtaking mountain landscape. Overnight in Vang Vieng.


Vang Vieng

The day will start with a 14km ride trip to the first cave, Tham Xang (Elephant Cave). The cave lies on the banks of the Nam Song River.Afterwards, you will have the chance to swim in the clear, cool spring water that lies at the mouth of Tham Nam (Water Cave). The tubing is then followed by a free BBQ lunch aside Tham Nam (Water Cave). There will then be a 30 minute walk back to a village, where you’ll be picked up to begin your kayaking. You’ll be driven to the starting point, Khmu Village. The friendly English speaking guides will give you some paddle instructions before you start on this 3 hour kayaking trip.Further down you’ll have the opportunity to stop at bars throughout the river. Once the kayaking is completed, we’ll take a truck ride to the famous Blue Lagoon, where you will have the chance to swim in the lagoon or just relax in the small bamboo huts. Afterwards we will return back to Vang Vieng as the tour comes to a close. Overnight in VangVieng.


Vang Vieng - Luang Prabang

After breakfast at hotel, we then head out of Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang, through the wonderful natural scenery. En route, there will be plenty of opportunities for photos. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for check-in and free at leisure. Late afternoon, we will climb up 328 steps of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. We then will explore the Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of handmade textiles made by the hill tribe and local people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang.


Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Cave - Luang Prabang

You have the option to wake up before dawn to witness and participate in offering alms to hundreds of saffron-robed monks – an awe-inspiring sight. We then visit the Morning Market. After breakfast at hotel,Continue our tour to visit the National Museum at the former Royal Palace,the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground. We then board a cruise trip upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a panoramic view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves. Along the way, we will make a stop at Ban Xang Hai village where rice wine is distilled. We will visit the caves of Tham Ting and Tham Phoum which house hundreds of Buddha statues. Lunch at local restaurant. We return to Luang Prabang in the afternoon, continue to visit Ban Xang Khong, a village well known for silk hand-weaving and traditional Saa paper-making. The rest of time is free at leisure. Overnight in Luang Prabang.


Luang Prabang - Khouangsi Waterfall

Breakfast at hotel, We visit the Phousi Market, and then drive our way to Khouang Si waterfall. On the way, you can visit to the Lao ethnic minority groups-Ban Ouay Village, Ban Ou village and Ban Thapene Village. Once at the waterfalls, take a leisurely hike through the national park towards the Khouang Si waterfalls and pass by the Asian bear rescue center. You will enjoy feeling the mist of the cool, turquoise waters of the different waterfalls. Swimming in the refreshing waters is possible. Have lunch at local restaurant. We will be back to Luang Prabang and free at leisure until the time transfer to the airport for departure flight.
