Vientiane - Pakxe/Pakse - Don Khong - Khong Island - Siem Reap - Battambang - Phnom Penh
Welcome to Vientiane! Upon arrival, our guide will meet you at the airport and then escort you to your hotel for check-in. Free at leisure at the rest of day on your own. Overnight in Vientiane.
After breakfast, we start to visit Wat Sisaket, the city's oldest temple. Dates back to 1818, Wat Sisaket is the most important heritage temple now standing in Laos.Wat Prakeo, former royal temple of the Lao monarchy and originally built in 1565, is home to the Emerald Buddha image. On the way to the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, Vientiane's own Arc de Triumph. In the afternoon, we take a short drive out of the city to visit the Buddha Park where hundreds of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures brought from India are displayed. Return to the city and enjoy the sunset on the Mekong River. Overnight in Vientiane.
Vientiane - Pakxe/Pakse
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to the airport for a short flight to Pakse. Upon arrival, our guide will meet you at the airport. We'll head for Saravanh province via Tateng Village. You will make a stopover en route to observe the locals making tea and coffee - have a cup of either before exploring the cultures and the way of life along the way to Boloven Plateau Area. Upon arrival at Tad Lo Waterfall, you will pay a visit to villages of Alak, Nge, Katu ethnic minority group. Return to the town in the late afternoon. Overnight in Pakse.
Pakxe/Pakse - Don Khong
After breakfast, we leave Pakse and transfer to Champasak District; visit the ruins of Wat Phou Temple Complex, one of Southeast Asia's most dramatically situated temples. We have time to explore these intriguing Khmer ruins, which are perched at the base of Mount Phu Kao. Wat Phu is one of the Lao World Heritage sites recognized by UNESCO in 2001, this wonderful archeological site of Khmer civilization dates back to the 9th century, predating the famous Angkor Wat in Cambodia. A festival of this site is held yearly during the full moon in February and attracts numerous pilgrims from all over southern Laos. Then continue your way to 4000 Islands Region and Khong Island, which is quite relaxing in the day while pretty at night. Rest of the day is in your hands. Being lazy on the beautiful beach might be a good choice. Overnight in Khong Island.
Following breakfast, we enjoy a visit to the surrounding countryside, and embark on a long tail boat tour to Don Khone, where we disembark and have the option of exploring the island by bicycle, which takes you to visit the remains of the French period and Liphi Waterfall or "the Corridor of the Devil". We return to the mainland at the fishing village of Ban Nakasang and drive further south to visit Khone Phapheng. Khone Phapheng is considered the largest waterfall by volume in South East Asia; this is a really impressive site near the Lao-Cambodian border, set within an area which is teeming with wildlife, making this area one of the most breathtaking destinations in Laos. We also have the option of taking a local boat out to search for the rare freshwater dolphins that reside in this area of the Mekong (if lucky, we can see the dolphins). Then we drive back to Khong Island for your overnight stay. Overnight in Khong Island.
Khong Island - Pakxe/Pakse - Siem Reap
Breakfast at hotel, you will have free time till our guide meets you and escorts you back to Pakse airport for flight to Siem Reao. On arrival, your tour guide will meet you at the airport and transfer to hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is for you at leisure on your own. Stay overnight at Hotel. Overnight in Siem Reap.
After breakfast at Hotel, we transfer by private car to visit Banteay Srei temple and Pre Rup temple. Have lunch at Khmer Batchum Restaurant, continue our tour to visit Ta Prohm temple,embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers, the temple of Ta Prohm was used as a location in the film Tomb Raider. and visit Chau Doc,with its unique brick sculptures,Banteay Kdei,surrounded by four concentric walls. Have relax nearby temple and enjoy cool fresh coconut arrange by your driver. Back to city Dinner show (optional activity) stay overnight at Hotel.Overnight in Siem Reap.
Early morning we start witness sunrise over Angkor Wat temple and listening singing birds over the ancient land of Angkor area.After sunrise back to Hotel for breakfast,Then continue tour to visit temple, such as: South Grate of Angkor Thom, Angkor Thom Temple Complex (BAYON),Preah Khan Temple, and Angkor Wat Temple after lunch. Siem Reap - Battambang
This morning travelthrough the outskirts of Siem Reap to the Tonle Sap Lake. Board your boat and have a cruise trip through Tonle Sap, observing life on the lake as you travel past floating fishing villages that have their own schools, shops, hospitals and even crocodile farms! Return back to have lunch at a local restaurant. Then continue trip to Battambong province. During trip we will stop at Pouk Market, client can try some local snack as Snail, Spider, cockroach, BBQ snake. Second stop is The Home of Bamboo Rice Stick, Cambodian well known wonderful eating. Third stop at Korki Brigde. try or view of BBQ Rat from the rice field.Upon arrival Battambang, view city tour and check in at Hotel. Stay overnight in Battambang.Overnight in Battambang.
Today Have a tour in this charming city of Battambang where you can watch the elegant houses in the French-colonial style along the river. Visit the Provincial Museum and the pagoda before heading to temple of Wat Ek Phnom, on the way visit Ek Phnom temple we will stop for a food trip to the Home of Paper Rice, Spring Roll we called.Have lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon drive (about 1 hr) to the hill of Phnom Bannon and climb to the mountain top to see the temple of Prasat Bannon built in 7th century. Later it’s a Bamboo Train ride passing by rice paddies and stunning scenery, followed by a visit to a local village to discover rural life and a workshop to see wooden sculptures. You are able to enjoy Sunset on the Rice Field. Overnight in Battambang.
Battambang - Phnom Penh
This morning we continue our travel to Phnom Penh, the Capital of Cambodia. During trip, we will stop at Kampong Chhang Province visit Pottery Village and Tonle Sap River, we take a boat trip for one hour to visit floating Village and see view of Korng Rei Mountain. Have lunch at a local restaurant then continue to visit Oudong Mountain, located at the foothill of the mountain Phnom Udong.Oudong was royal residence and Cambodia's capital for more than 250 years until 1866. A monumental royal necropolis of sovereigns of several centuries is scattered on top the prominent bisected mountain, which runs from the southeast to the northeast. Check in upon arrival.Overnight in Phnom Penh.
After breakfast, you will visit the famous Royal Palace, which is the royal residence of the king of Cambodia, and then take a visit to Silver Pagoda, National Museum and Wat Phnom.Have lunch at Bopha Phnom Penh. Rest in the afternoon, enjoy your tour to Toul Sleng Genocide Museum,Tuol Sleng was earlier a primary school and a lycee (Tuol Svay Prey) and became during the regime of Pol Pot, a major place of torture and death. Choeng Ek 'Killing Fields, A living memorial, Choeng Ek's grassy fields mark the site of the 'Genocidal Center' where tens of thousands lost their lives.
